Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Bertinelli was born on April 23, 1960 to a General Motors executive. She was born in Wilmington, DE. In her younger part of life her father was transferred to Van Nuys, California. She lived with one older brother and 2 younger ones. She always joked of being a β€œGM brat” Since they moved around a lot before moving to California. During this time Valerie was in attendance at Tami Lynn School of Artists where her main focus of study was acting. Valerie landed her first television appearance in a J.C. Penny’s commercial. Via this training when a new situation comedy was written and additions were held Valerie tried out for the part as Barbara Cooper in β€œOne Day at a Time.” She landed the part. The show ran from 1975 to 1984 with its production ended but the show was never canceled. This show gave Valerie her start as an actress. Shortly after the show ended Valerie landed a part in a movie in 1986. Valerie’s career took off from there.
