Brangien Davis

Brangien Davis

Brangien Davis is founder, publisher, and editor-in-chief of Swivel: The Nexus of Women and Wit . Called "a one-two punch of style and substance" by Bust magazine, Swivel is the only nationally distributed literary journal devoted to smart, funny writing by smart, funny women. Since running a humor magazine does not, as it turns out, lead to raking in of dough, Brangien also engages in many freelance gigs. She contributes arts and entertainment coverage and humor essays to The Seattle Times, and her her journalism has appeared in The Village Voice, Wired, Seattle Magazine, Venus, Northwest Home and Garden, and elsewhere. Her creative work has been published or is forthcoming in Swivel, Lime Tea, The Cream City Review, and McSweeney's. In her spare time, she pursues gravitas.
