April Lane Benson

April Benson, Ph.D., is a co-founder, faculty member, and Director of Training at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia in New York City. She has published in professional journals, and has taught therapists about compulsive buying at the Renfrew Center, the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, and the William Alanson White Institute. Dr. Benson has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and has been quoted in New York Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Harper's Bazaar, and The Wall Street Journal. She maintains a private practice in Manhattan.
