Jane Velez-Mitchell
Jane Velez-Mitchell is an award-winning television news journalist, who most recently served as a correspondent for the nationally syndicated program "Celebrity Justice." She is also widely known for her reporting and analysis of high-profile legal news cases. Prior to her work on “Celebrity Justice”, Velez-Mitchell spent more than a decade anchoring and reporting for KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. She also served as a reporter for eight years at WCBS-TV in New York City, and as a television journalist in the key markets of Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Fort Myers, Florida.
Velez-Mitchell is the recipient of a Los Angeles Emmy Award, a shared New York area Emmy Award, and four Southern California Golden Mike Awards for her newscasts. Her reporting earned “Celebrity Justice” two Genesis Awards from the US Humane Society. She also wrote, directed and produced “Dancing Through Life,” an award-winning documentary about her relationship with her mother. Velez-Mitchell currently resides in Los Angeles.
