Renee Richards

Since 1975 the transgender community has used Dr. Renee' Richards, a famous post-operative male to female transsexual, who was a popular tennis player and physician as their model for success in leading a productive and happy life following sex change surgery. In 1999, Dr. Richards was quoted in a secular magazine as disclaiming his excitement, gratification and endorsement about sex change and living as a pseudo woman. Isn't it odd that now he/she has made this public proclamation that those who used to applaud Dr. Richards as their foremost spokesperson ... now quickly and conveniently dismiss as a man who wasn't a "true transsexual" after all, but merely someone who was miscast for Sex Change, most probably merely a "frustrated and terribly misguided transvestite" according to my phone conversation with one leading transsexual activist.
