Linda Cardillo

Linda Cardillo is the author of the Maggie-Award-winning Dancing on Sunday Afternoons, the launch novel for Harlequin Everlasting Love; the novella The Hand That Gives the Rose, in the anthology The Valentine Gift; and the novella A Daughter’s Journey in the anthology A Mother’s Heart. Before she became a novelist she wrote several works of nonfiction, from articles in The New York Times to books on marketing and corporate policy. In addition to writing, Linda has worked as an editor, a magazine circulation manager, a teacher of English and creative writing and a fundraiser for academic institutions. In the midst of her literary and academic life, she also earned a Harvard MBA, where she learned how to develop a marketing plan, faced the crucible of opening the case to an amphitheater of critical fellow students, and wrote and performed—seven months’ pregnant—in the annual musical comedy extravaganza known as the B-School Show. Her experience at Harvard made her fearless in front of an audience. Linda’s next work of fiction, the novel Across the Table—set in Boston’s North End and narrated by three Italian-American women for whom food is love, change, defiance and salvation—will be forthcoming in 2010. Linda has many more stories to tell and is currently at work on a fifth book.
