As the host of "Backyard Blitz", Jamie Durie relishes the chance to take a backyard, or as he calls it a blank canvas, and turn it into something beautiful that helps to change peoples' lifestyles. He loves the thrill on the final day of the makeover and the look of sheer joy it brings to its owners� faces. Jamie joined Backyard Blitz as host when it premiered in 2000 and last year was also a team member of Nine�s hugely successful Renovation Rescue specials, which brought together the stars of Australia�s popular lifestyle shows as they offered a helping hand to someone deserving of a good turn.
