Joe Posnanski

Posnanski, named best sports columnist in America by the Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE) in 2003, has been writing columns at The Kansas City Star since October 1996. While covering Olympics, Super Bowls, World Series, Final Fours and major golf championships, he has had the chance to travel to towns big and small, near and far. Also, Posnanski is in his first year of writing a general interest column called “Cup of Joe.” It appears in Sunday’s Star Magazine of the Kansas City Star. Before joining The Star, he wrote sports columns in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Augusta, Ga. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He and his wife, Margo, live in Kansas City with their daughters, Elizabeth and Katie.
