Barry Strauss

Barry Strauss is professor of history and classics at Cornell University. He has conducted extensive research in Greece and Turkey and reads and speaks several modern languages in addition to ancient Greek and Latin. Strauss has been interviewed on numerous televised historical programs and has lectured at several of the service academies. He has written or edited eight books, most recently the highly praised The Battle of Salamis. He lives with his family in Ithaca, New York.
