Raised on Manhattan’s Upper West, my life revolved around the ballet and theatre. In fact, I performed on TV and in several shows; among them a Broadway revival of “Oklahoma” and the original production of “Hair.” I met my future ex husband in college. We have two terrific kids, Ilan and Rissa. In 1987 Abbeville Press published my Memory Box Activity Kit series for kids 8-12. Outside of a stint at Boston Magazine and an optioned screen play, I did the starving writer thing until I rescued a mutt from the ASPCA who became the inspiration for my first published novel
