Brian Lies was born in Princeton, New Jersey, and graduated from Brown University. He has written and illustrated many books for children, and his award-winning work appears regularly in children's magazines and galleries around the country. He lives on the South Shore of Massachusetts with his wife and daughter and enjoys watching bats soar on summer evenings. A portion of the proceeds from this book is being donated to Bat Conservation International.
