Jim Gilchrist

Jim Gilchrist founded the volunteer Minuteman Project in 2004, after years of trying to get a reluctant U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws. He is a Marine Corps veteran and legitimate recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds sustained while serving with an infantry unit in Vietnam during 1968-1969. A former reporter and CPA, Jim is a passionate defender of the First Amendment and an avid supporter of law enforcement organizations. He’s appeared on over 500 radio and TV news shows in the past two years. He and his wife live in Southern California - Ground Zero in the battle to secure America’s borders.
