Mario Cantone
Described as "a proponent of the comedy of outrage" by the
New York Times, Mario Cantone has proud this energy to both
his stand-up and his many roles for stage, film and television. His stand-up work has included many highlights, including
performances at Carnegie Hall and in Atlantic City. He has
also had his own half-hour special entitled "Comedy Central
Presents Mario Cantone." Most might know him from his guest star turns on HBO's "Sex
and the City", where he plays Charlotte's high-strung
personal shopper Anthony. He has also appeared on NBC's "Ed"
and "Chappelle's Show" and as a guest on "Late Night with
David Letterman" and "The View." His stage work include Buzz in the Broadway production of
"Love Valour Compassion" and Stephano in "The Tempest."
Off-Broadway he has starred as Terry in "The Crumple Zone",
Benny in "June Moon" and Grumio in the Shakespeare In The
Park production of "Taming of the Shrew." Mario has also appeared in the films "Quiz Show". "Mouse
Hunt" and "Crooked Lines."
