Shibley Telhami

Shibley Telhami is Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland and is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Saban Center at the Brookings Institution. A frequent contributor to the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and the Los Angeles Times, he has a weekly radio commentary that broadcasts throughout the Middle East. Formerly appointed by the White House to the Board of the United States Institute of Peace, he is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Board of Directors of Human Rights Watch.
