Living in the Midwest, you quickly learn how long winter is. You fill those endless winter hours with hobbies. For me, my hobby turned into a passion, a passion that stirred deep within me. Recently, someone once asked me why I just don't sit back and knit, do something more appropriate to being a grandmother. I didn't have an answer for them, but what I realize now is that writing for me is like knitting. It's the creativity that stimulates my mind and gives quality to my life. I know I'm a very lucky woman. I've got all the good stuff that life has to offer. I have a wonderfully supportive family that has encouraged me to chase after my dream, and I caught that dream with both hands.
