Colleen Rhoads
On a recent plane trip, Colleen Rhoads and her friend
Diann Hunt were discussing how best to murder someone.
When they realized they had the rapt attention of several
traveling companions, Colleen quickly explained she wrote
suspense novels. Getting her heroines in tight situations
and figuring out how to get them out is what she loves
most. She writes suspense because she likes the control of
making sure the villain gets his just reward.
Colleen won the 2004 and 2005 American Christian Fiction
Writers Mentor of the Year Award for her efforts in her
other passion — helping aspiring writers. Her books have
been in the finals and won many awards, including the fun
of being a Rita finalist in 2004. She lives with her
husband in Indiana where they are knee-deep in wallpaper
as they restore a Victorian home.
