Vine Deloria,Jr.
Vine Deloria, Jr., is recognized as one of today's leading
Indian spokesmen. He has been executive director of the
National Congress of American Indians and member of the
National Office for Rights of the Indigent. He is currently
a professor of history, law, religious studies, and
political science at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
He is the author of numerous books, including God Is
Red, Red Earth, White Lies, Custer Died for Your Sins,
and Behind the Trail of Broken Treaties. Deloria
died November 15, 2005.
