Yehuda Berg

Yehuda Berg

From the moment he was born, Rabbi Yehuda Berg was immersed into the study of Kabbalah. Having been born the son of Kabbalist Rav Berg, Rabbi Yehuda Berg is heir to the millenia-old tradition of Kabbalistic masters which his father had inherited from his teachers. From the earliest age, it was apparent that young Yehuda had inherited his father’s gift and was poised to continue the great legacy. However, preparation would require a lengthy and extensive formal education. After being born and raised in Israel, Yehuda went to the United States where he attended and graduated from the world-respected Yeshiva Rabbinical Seminary of America in New York. Afterward, he took up study at the prestigious Yeshiva Shar Ha Torah, in New York, followed shortly thereafter by his ordination as rabbi from Yeshiva Knesset Israel in the Holy City, Jerusalem. Over the past decade, Rabbi Berg has demonstrated his talents prodigiously. He is internationally-renowned as a leading authority of Kabbalah, the Torah and Talmud. He is the editor of the first Kabbalistic Daily and Shabbat Prayer books, a huge task which required extensive research. He is also in the process of completing the first-ever Chumash, or Pentatuch (Five Books of Moses) with Kabbalistic commentary. As associate director for communications of The Kabbalah Centres, Rabbi Berg plays an instrumental role in making the wisdom and tools of Kabbalah available and accessible to millions of people worldwide. In this capacity, he has helped reach people of many nationalities and faiths, all of whom hunger for the spiritual truths Kabbalah offers. As spiritual director of The Kabbalah Children’s Academy, Rabbi Berg helps guide the curriculum and teaching methods taught by the school. He also acts as a spiritual advisor to the many rabbis and teachers at The Kabbalah Centre. His intense desire to make the immense wisdom and spiritual tools of Kabbalah accessible to all people has inspired him to relentlessly pursue the development of innovative, one- of-a-kind programs for students, including at-home study programs, spiritual retreats, and community experiences - which are designed to heighten spiritual awareness and facilitate growth. In addition, Rabbi Yehuda Berg is an accomplished author. His most recent published book, The Power of Kabbalah, an international best-seller, provides people with a powerful introduction to Kabbalah to start them on a spiritual path toward transformation. He has received praise for The Power of Kabbalah, including celebrities Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Yehuda is currently working on his new book, The 72 Names of God - a Kabbalistic tool of immense importance for meditation, healing and spiritual growth. He also directs the publishing of books by other Kabbalistic authors, audio and videotapes created by the Centre. In short, he manages, inspires, instructs and solidifies the knowledge of Kabbalah among students. Rabbi Yehuda Berg lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Michal, and his two sons, spending considerable time as well at The Kabbalah Centre in New York.
