Suspense with a surprise ending is what you will get from LET ME LIE written by Clare
Mackintosh. I love stories that can grab me in the beginning and keep
me intrigued. Mackintosh did just that with this book. Easy to read and
follow, she jumps from the future to the past and from different
characters' point of view without losing you. All of this is done in the
way that lays out the story for easy following without giving away twists
that are sure to come.
Anna has dealt with the suicide of both of her parents for the last few
years. Now a mother herself with her own baby daughter, she misses
her mother more now than ever. Something is not right about how
everything happened and she can't put her finger on it. She starts to
ask questions that someone does not want her to ask. Mysterious
notes show up and she has no clue where are they coming from. Who
would want to keep her from asking questions? Someone does and her
life is in more danger with each piece of clue she discovers.
LET ME LIE is most certainly one
book you must read if you love psychological suspense. Clare
Mackintosh's novel will leave you thinking about what you read days
later. What a thriller she has here in this novel that will keep you up late
at night!
The police say it was suicide. Anna
says it was murder. They're both
wrong.
Last year, Tom and Caroline Johnson
chose to end their lives, one seemingly unable to live
without the other. Their daughter, Anna, is struggling to
come to terms with her parents' deaths, unwilling to accept
the verdict of suicide.
Now with a baby herself, Anna
feels her mother's absence keenly and is determined to find
out what really happened to her parents. But as she digs up
the past, someone is trying to stop her.
