Thriller Psychological
LITTLE SECRETS by Anna Snoekstra is an Australian mystery
and crime fiction that draws in readers from all over the
world for an Aussie
interpretation of "noir." This book uses the harsh reality of
nature and the remoteness of the vastly wide tundra to create a
setting that is full of tension and danger. The author has
created a remarkable setting that is vividly realistic through
creatively descriptive writing. The town of Colmstock has
everything that a true Australian town needs, heat, lots of
dust, and the sound of flies buzzing. Just what you need for
the perfect remote town in the middle of nowhere. The
characters are intriguingly interesting and will draw you into
their Aussie lifestyle. They have a mystery that surrounds them
making you second guess everything they do or say. You will get
goosebumps while reading this mystery thriller because you
never know what lurks around the next corner or the next page! The story follows Rose who is an aspiring journalist with hopes
of leaving the small town where she grew up. Her best friend is
Mia. A girl that is sure she will not only live her life in
this small town, but die there as well. The differences between
these two friends makes for lots of drama, laughs, and true
friendship. They balance each other well. I was drawn in from
the beginning and just could not leave the story. I had to know
how it was going to end. Along the way, I found lots of
suspense and mystery with things that make you second guess the
reasons why. As the drama starts to heat up, so does the
suspense making for lots of tension within this tiny town. You
will see each character's true personalities and flaws. I
recommend this book to anyone who loves a great suspenseful
read.
