Romance Paranormal | Romance Erotica Sensual

Madalyn Simons is definitely feeling burnt out. Being an actress is hard work, and she can't help feeling the embarrassment of her last picture. Determined to disappear for awhile, she heads to a remote location in Alaska. The only person who knows her whereabouts is her little sister, Drake, and she won't squeal.

Otar Thordsson has led a lonely life, determined not to take a wife until the revolution of New Sweden is over and the kingdom restored to its rightful order, for he will not leave a wife without the support of a husband. However, Otar does travel to the surface from time to time from his underground world to bring women to replenish the dwindling female population.

While sightseeing, Madalyn and Drake end up being abducted by several large men and taken to a city deep under the mountains. If the uncertainty of where they are and how long they'll be here isn't enough, Madalyn has to make a choice to either marry Otar or be placed on the marriage block. Not expecting to be in this place very long, Madalyn chooses Otar. Otar has loved Madalyn for some time after having seen her movies, and there's no way he'll let her go.

By the time revolution threatens to upset the balance of the clans in New Sweden, Madalyn has fallen for Otar. Now, she has the hard decision to make of whether to stay with him underground or to return above ground to her old life.

DEEP, DARK AND DANGEROUS is steamy and edgy. This fantasy grabs your attention and makes you hang on for the ride. Black created this sexy and unique neo-Viking underground society in two previous novellas featured in the anthologies TIE ME UP, TIE ME DOWN (2/05) and PLAYING EASY TO GET (2/06). I definitely recommend this book for a weekend of sexy reading.

SUMMARY

A star in a world of wealth and privilege...

Fed up with Hollywood backstabbing, famous movie actress Madalyn Simon decided to escape the spotlight. Her new back- to-basics existence in an Alaskan cabin did take getting used to, but at least she was in control of her own destiny -- or so she thought. While snowmobiling on the frigid coast with her sister, the pair is taken hostage by a band of rough men who want them -- for reasons beyond imagining.

A captive in a world of inescapable seductions...

They are neo-Vikings from a hidden underworld, in search of women Outsiders to breed for the New Sweden clan. Their sexy leader, Otar, wants only one woman: Madalyn. Overpowered by his masculine strength and unmasked desire, Madalyn must become Otar's wife or face the marriage auction block. Now, in a world beyond dreams and as real as the hot flesh of her enticing warrior-husband, Madalyn discovers the power of an all-consuming passion -- as the fires of revolution threaten all she has come to love...
