RECKLESS CREED is the first novel I read of Alex Kava's Ryder Creed series
but it is not the first one of this amazing storyline. The
series is about Creed who
trains K-9s for search and rescue missions and he uses his
dogs to help solve
some intense mysteries. This is one of the number one
reasons I had to read it
and I am glad I did. Kava puts a lot of research in her
novels, as you can tell, to
make each part as true to life as she can. This leaves you
wondering how close to
life some of these things can happen. That is the
characteristics of a great writer
when they have you believing and wondering the fiction to
real life.
Ryder Creed is called to help find a missing girl with the
help of his Jack
Russell, Grace. She is found in a river with rocks in her
pockets. But why are there
dead birds in the area as well? Is this some how related to
a man who falls to his
death in New York City? Creed works with Maggie O'Dell who
is a FBI profiler to
find the connections before it is too late for humanity!
Bravo for Alex Kava for such an astonishing novel! This
makes me want to
go back and read the others in the series as well as the
Maggie O'Dell series.
RECKLESS CREED is hard to put down and will leave you
wanting more. In a time
when conspiracies are often feared, this story will keep you
on the brink of losing
control.
In the new edge-of-your-seat thriller from New York
Times–bestselling author Alex Kava, Ryder Creed, his K-9
search-and-rescue dogs, and FBI agent Maggie O’Dell find
themselves at the center of a dire and mysterious case.
In Chicago, a young man jumps from his thirtieth-story hotel
room; along the Missouri river, a hunter and his son stumble
upon a lake whose surface is littered with snow geese, all
of them dead; and in southern Alabama, Ryder Creed and his
search-and-rescue dog Grace find the body of a young woman
who went missing in the Conecuh National Forest...and it
appears she filled her pockets with rocks and walked into
the river. Before long Ryder Creed and FBI profiler Maggie
O’Dell will discover the ominous connection among these
mysterious deaths. What they find may be the most prolific
killer the United States has ever known.
