Fresh Fiction Review

Warning Order
Joshua Hood

Thriller

This is an amazingly written novel by Joshua Hood who was in the 82nd Airborne Division of his Military career. WARNING ORDER is the second of the Search and Destroy Thriller series and is easy to understand the main character's background even if you haven't read the first one. Hood has taken what he knows and created a great storyline that will leave you a ball of nerves at what will happen next. Just what a thriller is meant to do.

Mason Kane is on the blacklist with the US government, but is a soldier who is willing to put his life at risk still for his country and his fellow men. With Mason making a deal with the CIA to clear himself, things start going terribly wrong. Is someone on the inside costing him his men? Everything goes back to the President's inner circle posing a threat to too many American soldiers. This sets Mason on the road to revenge for the terrorist that is responsible before it is too late.

WARNING ORDER is not usually the type of book I would pick up to read, but after reading this novel I am greatly pleased that I did! Even being a bit squeamish about some things, WARNING ORDER is not one that I had to skip any parts and even had a hard time putting it down some nights. The characters are ones that you will cry and feel fear with as they are so well developed. It makes you wonder if each one represents someone that Hood knew in his military days. It gives you that inside look at war that most of us civilians will never otherwise fathom the experience. I recommend reading WARNING ORDER by Joshua Hood if you are looking for a war thriller!

SUMMARY

In the second book of the explosive Search and Destroy thriller series, Mason Kane—a special ops hero with a questionable past, joins forces with the CIA to neutralize a radical off shoot of ISIS and unravel a conspiracy emanating from the White House’s inner sanctum.

After almost losing his life, foiling a terror plot that threated to draw the United States into another war—Mason Kane, disgraced American soldier, and special operations legend is still on the governments blacklist. To finally clear his name, Mason strikes a deal with the CIA—throwing himself back into the deadly world of black ops.

But when an asset tied to ISIS leads an old friend into a trap, Mason goes off the grid, and finds himself trapped in the middle of a plot involving an extremely violent and highly capable terror cell—with ties to the President’s inner circle. With the help of Renee Hart, a DOD operative, and a team of elite special ops soldiers, Mason is determined to stop an attack aimed at crippling the US military before time runs out.

Set in the shadows of the war on terror, and inspired by experiences of 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Joshua Hood, Warning Order is an action packed thriller full of shocking twists and non-stop action that throws the reader into the murky world of clandestine operations.
