"A new Leopard tale in Christine Feehan's wondrous world"

Fresh Fiction Review

Wild Cat

Romance Erotica Sensual | Romance Paranormal

WILD CAT brings readers back to Christine Feehan's world of Leopards. Siena is thrust into a world she never knew existed. A simple favor for her grandfather brings Siena to Elijah. The two begin to have a good time until a murder and an accusation turn it all to hell, but when Siena needs help it looks like Elijah is the only man she can turn to. Will Elijah be able to help Siena in time? Will he even help her?

Elijah is big and bad, but we know deep down he is a good man. Underneath all his toughness is a big heart, and it will soon belong to Siena. She has no idea about the world her grandfather and the others live in, but she will soon find herself smack dab in the middle of it. Although the two are hot together and work well together, Siena is a little too naive and lets Elijah be a bit too overbearing towards her for my tastes. Elijah is brutal with some of his words and emotions. Siena seems to battle with her self esteem after much of his harsh words. She goes through so much in this book, and even though she survives it does not seem to make her stronger. Elijah and Siena are not my favorite couple but seeing them find a way to their happiness made for a nice read.

I did enjoy seeing some of the characters from previous books show up in this story, and many of the supporting characters have much to say as well. Christine Feehan has built a wondrous world with her leopards and continues to do so. She weaves both action and romance together in this story. While these two may not be my favorite couple, I did enjoy their story and am looking forward to more from this world.

SUMMARY

In the new Leopard novel by the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Cat’s Lair and Leopard’s Prey, passions explode like wildfire when a young woman’s feral instincts are ignited by a man who’s too dangerous not to desire…

A simple request for Siena Arnotto: deliver a gift to her grandfather’s friend. One look at Elijah Lospostos, hard-bodied and stripped to the waist, and Siena succumbs to a feline stirring she never felt before, and to Elijah’s reckless and pleasurable demands. But when that pulse-throbbing moment ends in the murder of an unexpected intruder, Elijah accuses the shaken and confused Siena of setting him up.

Then Siena discovers the truth of her Leopard heritage, of the secrets in her grandfather’s inner circle, and the sinister plot of revenge that has put her in jeopardy. When Siena’s grandfather is assassinated, she realizes the only man she can trust is Elijah. Now as her Leopard rises from within, Siena and Elijah share not only an animal instinct for survival—but a desire so raw and wild it may be the only thing that can save them.
