Romance Contemporary

EVERY LITTLE KISS is Book two in Kendra Leigh Castle's Harvest Cove series. As much as I liked the previous book, I was not sure if I would like this story about event planner Emma Henry. In the previous book, Emma seemed a little too uptight. However, I love this book. EVERY LITTLE KISS completely surpassed my expectations and I ended up enjoying it even more than the first book.

At the opening of EVERY LITTLE KISS Emma meets hot cop Seth Andersen when he escorts her home, at her insistence, after she parties a little too hard at her sister's bachelorette party. Seth immediately earns nice guy cred by not only taking Emma home but taking care of her while she is recovering from her night of drunken debauchery. In spite of this inauspicious beginning, it doesn't take long for things to heat up between the two. One of the reasons I love EVERY LITTLE KISS so much is because I really like the two main characters. Although Emma and Seth both have some emotional issues to work out, I love how self-aware they are when it comes to their flaws. With Seth and Emma, Kendra Leigh Castle has written two extremely complex, yet very sympathetic and likable characters.

Although Emma has her moments of social awkwardness, I don't think she ever comes off as obnoxious. Likewise, although Seth has a little PTSD from his time as a soldier, he never lashes out at Emma in hurtful ways. The journey that they take, both together and separately, in EVERY LITTLE KISS and the personal growth they experience is very powerful. The process that Emma goes through in trying to make friends for the first time and the fun relationships she develops with those girlfriends are some of the highlights of EVERY LITTLE KISS. The chemistry between Seth and Emma is off the charts and there is a lot of sexy to go along with the sweet.

EVERY LITTLE KISS is a lot of fun, super sexy, and a treat for romance fans. Kendra Leigh Castle populates the town of Harvest Cove with three-dimensional characters, and tons of real emotion. I eagerly await the next book in this charming series. This series has made Kendra Leigh Castle one of my new favorite authors.

SUMMARY

The second novel featuring small New England town of Harvest Cove, where the residents know that Emma Henry likes things nice and orderly—but everyone has to let loose sometimes…

Event planner Emma Henry is used to focusing all her attention on reaching her goals and letting romance fall by the wayside. But when her sister Sam’s bachelorette party prompts the most tightly-wound Henry to let her hair down, Emma’s night ends with the entire town linking her to a man who could lay waste to anyone’s best-laid plans.

Army vet Seth Andersen thought that joining the police department in sleepy Harvest Cove would offer a quiet, normal life. But when he finds himself responsible for uptight Emma Henry at the end of her wildest night ever, his world turns unexpectedly complicated—and he’s surprised to discover he doesn’t mind at all…
