In this story of love and self-discovery we meet Breezy
Hernandez, a
woman with no roots, who has spent her whole existence
searching for the
missing pieces of her life. Tragically, after losing her
recently discovered
brother, Lawton, Breezy comes to the welcoming community
of Martin's
Crossing to find out that Lawton has left her joint
custody of his two
beautiful toddlers, Rose and Violet.
Breezy is forced to deal with Jake
Martin, a very sexy Texas cowboy, who also happens to be
the other joint
custodian of his little nieces.Having always been the
sensible leader of his
family, Jake isn't sure how to deal with the enigmatic
Breezy. Both Jake and
Breezy have been damaged in the past by those closest to
them, and this
has led them to be suspicious and doubtful of each other,
as they struggle
to decide what is best for their new family. Throw in a
sizzling attraction,
many new friends, a bad guy with a vendetta, two adorable
kids, some
miscommunications, and a lot of community Christmas
spirit, and who
knows what could happen in A RANCHER FOR CHRISTMAS.
A RANCHER FOR CHRISTMAS is the first time I have read
anything by author Brenda Minton, and I
found it to be a heartwarming tale about finding your
place in the world and
learning to trust again. Not only is it about trust in
relationships but also
trusting your faith. I loved the main characters of Breezy
and Jake, but I
equally became hooked on the secondary characters of
Jake's and
Breezy's family and friends in Martin's Crossing.
As A RANCHER FOR CHRISTMAS is book one of a
new series, I really look forward to reading the next
instalment. So light the
fire, and curl up with A RANCHER FOR CHRISTMAS by Brenda
Minton for
a feel good, enjoyable read.
Raised on the run, free-spirited Breezy Hernandez has
never
stayed in one place too long. But now that she has joint
custody of her late brother's twin daughters, she's
determined to give them a stable home. Even if it means
cooperating with the twins' bossy uncle. Texas rancher
Jake
Martin learned the hard way that women can't be trusted.
But
as he and Breezy care for the orphaned girls, Jake begins
to
open his heart. Is Breezy ready to put down roots in
Martin's Crossing, or will she run from the one thing
she's
always wanted: a family?
