Cordelia Kane has always been her daddy's little girl. He
had raised her after her mother died in a car accident when
she was just two. It is only when he has a serious heart
attack that the truth comes out and the answers to the
questions on her mother lie in Australia. She has no idea
that her innocent plan to find out about this woman will
send her down a FAST TRACK to danger.
Aiden Madison, wealthy CEO of the Hamilton Hotels, is just
doing a good deed having no hint it would soon have him
scrambling to protect Cordelia. He thought he was just
giving her a flight to Australia on the company jet, never
expecting the dangerously volatile drama that awaited her.
Nor does he expect the sparks to fly between the two of
them ... she was always his sister's friend. Now attempts
have been made on her and Aiden realizes just how highly he
values her and he will do whatever he must to protect her
and his heart.
FAST TRACK is classic Julie Garwood. You will find this
book filled with believable dialogue, warm loving
characters, chilling danger and downright sexy hunks.
Cordie is shocked to find her mother didn't die as she had
always believed and after reading letters her father had
hidden, she decides to save herself the pain he suffered.
In doing so she plans to put the hopeless crush for Aiden
behind her. Despite her resolve he isn't about to let her
go and thus leads to the dance that romance readers so
love.
The suspense in FAST TRACK is intriguing because it is
expected and yet not ... you will have to read FAST TRACK to
understand ... suffice to say Cordie was very lucky she had
her father as an influence in her life and friends like
Sophie and Regan and their husbands and of course Aiden and
his brothers. I also appreciated the added touch of the
side story of the Madison brothers, the congressman in
Oregon and the land they wanted for another resort. It
shows a funny and sneaky side to the Madison boys. FAST
TRACK will go into my "to read again" shelf and I will be
looking for more from Ms. Garwood.
