Times were tough, but Josie and Jeff made it though all of it. Until Josie has this pain in her breast that just doesn't seem to go away. Josie is afraid to go see the doctor because she just doesn't like doctors.

Josie decides that it is time to go to the doctor and find out what is going on in her body. Josie never expected to get the news that she has breast cancer. Josie has made up her mind that she is going to keep this news away from her family. But as she is now getting chemo, she knows that it times to tell her family what is going on.

Enter Bel. Bel has lost her sister Talia to this horrible disease. Bel is doing her best to help her brother in law Nick raise his two children. Nick has moved on with his life and has remarried. Bel is having a hard time dealing with this.

Harry is Josie's doctor and also was Talia's doctor. Harry knows that Josie is having a hard time dealing with this along with knowing her financial problems. Harry feels that Bel would be a great person to try and help Josie get though this, and also hopes that this will help Bel with the death of the death of her sister.

Josie and Bel meet and form a unique bond. Not only do they become best friends but they help each other get though both of their problems.

Susan Lewis takes you though just what women and their families go though trying to fight this horrible disease. As a breast cancer survivor, along with having to watch several members of my family go though this, it was a great inspiration for me. The story line was hard for me at first. Did I really want to read this book? The answer was yes. I needed to find out just how these two characters dealt with all the ups and downs.

With NEVER SAY GOODBYE author, Susan Lewis has provided me with great inspiration.

SUMMARY

Josie Clark, a loving wife and mother, struggles to make ends meet by cleaning homes and working at a diner while her husband drives a taxi. Josie’s joy is her two children, just entering adulthood. But with her son recently imprisoned for a crime she is certain he didn’t commit, and her daughter marrying too young, Josie now worries about the future—and wonders if she’ll ever be able to ensure their safety and happiness. Across town, in a gorgeous house by the sea, successful property developer Bel Monkton lives in comparative luxury. But she has struggles of her own. Since the death of her twin sister more than a year ago, Bel has been unable to rebuild her shattered world, and the troubled past she thought was behind her haunts her ever more. Faced with uncertainty and heartbreak, Josie and Bel find each other and a surprising friendship that will change their lives.
