Six months ago Anna Jameson was drugged and assaulted. An
assault she has no memory of, except for the bruises and
deep-noted fear of men. For six months, this fear held her
paralysed, cut-off from her loved ones and unable to
function normally. No amount of therapy has helped till Anna
decides to take matters in her hand and overcome the fear in
what seems to be the most logical explanation to her:
reclaim her sexuality in the arms of the only man she trusts
most, Finn Shaw.
It took Finn more than a decade to get over Anna and keep
their friendship strictly platonic. Anna's request for help
in reclaiming her sexuality moves his very foundations. For
him, it is a dream come true or a nightmare which may
destroy him the second time around. Unable to refuse her
anything for long, they embark on a sexual and emotional
journey till Finn decides enough is enough. To push Anna
past her emotional boundaries of passion, Finn gives her the
ultimatum; all or nothing. Reserved and emotionally scarred
Anna, since childhood has always been cautious but the
assault has made her go into herself to the point of
isolation. Her only hope is Finn, her go to safe guy, her
best friend. If only he would not push her boundaries and
accept her the only way she has to offer.
I found Anna's insecurities tiresome after a while and the
selfishness of her actions time after time even when she
found out that Finn loved her made me like her even less. On
the other hand, I cannot even begin to imagine the scars and
emotional state of mind after a presumed sexual assault.
What I do know is, a guy like Finn, is a gem. In all
honesty, I have fallen for him. He is a protector who is all
man (i.e. dangerous, sensual, daring) yet sensitive and with
his own insecurities he is not afraid to show to the one he
loves. His heartache broke my heart and had me bawling for
him.
Ms. Anderson has done an amazing job with capturing their
emotions, insecurities and fears and how they overcame them.
FALLING FOR FINN is a not to be missed sizzling yet
emotionally charged
satisfying read.
When you’ve been burned, the heat of the moment is the scariest place to be. Six months after a sexual assault, Anna Jameson has decided enough is enough.
