"Dante Walker is the Bad Boy you will LOVE"

Fresh Fiction Review

The Liberator
Victoria Scott

Fantasy Urban | Young Adult Paranormal

THE LIBERATOR is a fun, quick read with a hot, snarky male main character. Dante Walker will pull you in with all his smooth talk and make you fall in love with all of his bad boy ways.

THE LIBERATOR picks up shortly after where THE COLLECTOR left off. Dante is sporting his new cuff from the Big Guy upstairs, and Charlie is still mourning the loss of her best friend Blue. Dante is given his first Liberator assignment, which is away from Charlie. He finds it hard to leave her but is told that his new assignment, Aspen, is important. Only problem is, Aspen is a bad girl. She likes to party and live it up in all the ways that Dante is trying not to do. Dante wants to be good especially for Charlie. How can he liberate a soul so much like his own? Along the way he discovers that Aspen and Charlie's fate are intertwined and he must go back to the one place that he never wanted to go again to save both of their lives.

Victoria Scott is a fabulous writer and she writes a fantastic male main character. I usually am not able to connect with male voices very well when reading a book, but I have no problem connecting with Dante. His character is hilariously funny, smooth talking, and just plain loveable. He is the definition of a bad boy, but the kind that has a heart of gold and that you can't help but fall head over heels for. THE LIBERATOR shows what a tough time Dante has getting rid of his bad boy ways and showing more of his compassionate side. I loved the character growth of Dante in THE LIBERATOR. While he grew a lot in the previous installment, I really got to see more into his soul in this book.

Charlie and Aspen really caught my attention in THE LIBERATOR also. Charlie really came into her own and started standing up for herself more. Aspen first came off as a really tough cookie but softened quickly the more they got to know her and what her story was. There were a lot of twists and turns that center around these girls and I truly enjoyed discovering them.

THE LIBERATOR was the perfect second installment and I can't wait to get my hands on third installment, THE WARRIOR releasing May 6, 2014.

SUMMARY

Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn’t like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.

When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.

With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre- makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.
