Romance

In FORSAKEN by B.J. Daniels, detective Bentley Jamison is stuck in Beartooh, Montana there to investigate when local rancher Maddie Conner's workers start to go missing. Both Bentley and Maddie won't give up on finding who is doing this to her and her beloved ranch.

I happen to love all things Harlequin authors write and B.J. Daniels is no exception. Everything she writes is just wonderful and makes you fall in love with not only the character but also the town and all the other people in her stories.

Bentley is not used to small town living or having to deal with someone as spunky as Maddie is. Maddie cares for her workers and her land and won't stop until she finds out what is harming all she cares for. Bentley wants to be able to help Maddie but really doesn't want her getting involved and putting herself in danger.

FORSAKEN is a great story and I really enjoyed reading it, I loved the characters and the story line. I really enjoyed the other characters and the setting of Montana. I love when an author makes those things appealing in the story because it makes the story that much better. I always love being able to get lost in a setting of a book because it just makes the book that much more meaningful.

I really enjoyed reading FORSAKEN It lived up to my expectations as a book, whoever is a fan of B.J. Daniels like I am will definitely enjoy this book from her.

SUMMARY

Danger runs high and passions burn hot in Montana's wild country Big-city detective Bentley Jamison is a long way from home in the Beartooth wilderness when one of local rancher Maddie Conner's ranch hands goes missing. Towering mountains and a small, tight community are as unfamiliar to Jamison as herding sheep, but he's never shied away from a challenge. As the new deputy sheriff, he's sworn to protect every inch of this rough terrain—starting with unraveling a mystery that has left Maddie a wide-open target. Maddie's as beautiful—and untamable—as the land around them. Like Jamison, she won't back down from danger. But desire that flares hotter than their tempers only raises the stakes when a fierce storm traps them in the high mountains. Caught in a killer's sights, Jamison and Maddie must trust one another, because now survival…and love…are all that matter.
