JENNIFER brings us the love story of the youngest O'Malley
whose battle with cancer is an integral part of each book in
the O'Malley series. This novella ends just at the point
where the first book, The Negotiator, begins; with
Jennifer preparing to share her good news with her family as
she struggles with her diagnosis. As a fan of the O'Malley
series, I have long wondered how Jennifer and Tom met and
fell in love. Though I know the battle ahead of them, I took
great pleasure in reading their love story.
JENNIFER is a tender and quite story about the romance
between two physicians. It is also about how Jennifer learns
to trust the
God who will help her face the painful trials ahead. We get
a glimpse of Jennifer and Tom's love for their patients,
their Lord, and their strong ties to their families. The
tension in the story stems from knowing what is ahead for
the couple so I would highly recommend reading the O'Malley
series before reading JENNIFER. Because this is a short
story there wasn't much room for the O'Malley siblings and I
found that I missed their strength and sense of humor.
I have been a fan of the O'Malley's for years and this new
novella is a treat that does not disappoint. JENNIFER's
story is full of the joy and hope she brings to every other
book in the series.
It's a summer of change for Jennifer O'Malley. The busy
physician has a pediatrics practice in Dallas, and meeting
Tom Peterson, and falling in love, is adding a rich layer to
her life. She's sorting out how to introduce him to her
family--she's the youngest of seven--and thinking about
marriage.
She's falling in love with Jesus too, and knows God is good.
But that faith is about to be tested in a way she didn't
expect, and the results will soon transform her entire family.
