What happens when two very cynical people meet? What about
if they have a bit of history together? Kelly's sister,
Tess, is Nash's half-sister...due to a little adultery and a
world of hurt. Nash doesn't know quite what to make of this
sudden development, but knows that he wants to be Tess's
brother; however, he wants to be Kelly's "something more."
The conundrum becomes obvious within the first couple of
chapters.
Both Kelly and Nash want to protect Tess, but it isn't easy
resisting their mutual attraction and they don't even know
if they should have to. The reader will love how this
dynamic scene plays out. The author, Carly Phillips, has a
fluid way of writing that will make the reader feel as if
the scenes and dialogue are taking place in front of them.
The scenes range from the very serious to the very humorous.
The reader should appreciate the range of emotions and
thoughts the characters convey to them, the author makes it
easy to fall into these characters' lives.
The more Kelly and Nash try to resist each other, the more
they seem to be thrown together. This is a book that is hard
to impossible to put down. The scenes are constantly
changing and there is more than one drama queen in this
novel. Overall, romance readers should give this one a try.
Nash can't help but admire Kelly Moss's confidence and
beauty. But he's forced to keep his distance because getting
involved with Kelly could destroy his relationship with his
newly discovered teenage half-sister, Tess. And Kelly has
other reasons for keeping her distance-like the secret she
knows Nash will never forgive...
