One would think that when a demon inhabits your body half of
the time, absolutely nothing could freak you out. One would
be wrong. Eden Riley has had a crazy year. She recently
learned that she is nephilim (a child of a human woman and
an angel father), a black witch, and became possessed by
Darrak, a demon. Although she tries to stay away from her
dark powers, they keep trying to emerge, smudging her soul.
Meanwhile, as celestial and dark energies fight in her,
Darrak is immersed in the fight. Because she is having
trouble controlling the dark magic, they decide to get some
outside viewpoints on the entire situation, as they care
deeply for each other, but the options seem dire,
particularly as a sexual relationship (during the times
Darrak isn't inhabiting her body, obviously) messes with the
sex magic that initially forced Darrak to possess people.
Did I mention they know the devil? And that Eden's
neglectful dead mother has decided to take an interest?
THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC has so much going on! There may be
numerous angles within the different plot lines, Michelle
Rowen fuses them beautifully so the reader always knows what
is going on. THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC has closed out the Living
In Eden series and I must say, it has been a fun trip!
Reluctant witch Eden Riley knows that codependent relationships aren't good, especially when you're possessed by a sexy but troublemaking demon. And when her magic starts manifesting itself without conscious effort, both Eden's life and the possibility of a future with Darrak are threatened-since only one of them might be able to survive this...
