Charter airplane pilot Sophie Madigan is frustrated with her life in the South Seas. Her mother is gone, her father needs her, and she has no prospects for a life of her own. Her father won't consent to the eye surgery he needs and she's overwhelmed with trying to hold on to his failing business.

When Peter "Trey" Shelton hires Sophie to fly her over a remote area and they are forced to do an emergency landing, the two find themselves stranded on a desert island—and unbelievably attracted to one another—on Christmas Eve. Should they live out their own version of Gilligan's Island, and if they do—including acting on their sexual attraction—what happens when they are rescued?

I began reading, expecting this story to be hokey. I mean, a rich sexy guy stranded on a remote island with a beautiful woman? It's been done.

But Kate Hoffman wove a tender romance about two people, both frustrated with their lives who, unbeknownst to either of them, each hold the keys to what the other needs. They both are in search of their life's purpose, and in a fateful 24 hours, discover everything they've ever wanted in each other. Rather than being clichéd, WHO NEEDS MISTLETOE? is touching, funny, and a fresh spin on an old idea.

SUMMARY

Pilot Sophie Madigan practically drools when her last- minute client walks in on Christmas Eve. Wealthy Trey Shelton III has bedroom eyes, a wicked grin and a body to die for! Sophie can't think of any Christmas gift she'd enjoy more…until they're forced to make a crash landing.

Finding himself on a deserted Pacific island isn't exactly the Christmas Eve Trey had in mind. At least, until he and Sophie leave their inhibitions—and their clothes!—behind.

It should have been nothing more than a holiday fling— island-style. Too bad nobody told either of them….
