I have waited very patiently, well not really, for Rydan's
story. He has been a mystery thus far as he minimally
associates with his brothers and their spouses but this all
changes when twin sisters, Rora and Mara arrive. As we
discovered in The Cat, Mara was destined to be Tristan's
bride and now it's Rydan's turn. It was interesting that
The Cat and THE STORM took place simultaneously but from
different brothers' view points.
Oh what a story this turned out to be. We discovered the
multitude of secrets that Rydan has been hiding as Rora
digs deeper and deeper into his psyche. I was most
intrigued with the way the entire story played out. Rora is
not without her own secrets as we discover the more we turn
pages.
I was especially intrigued with the way Jean Johnson
handled Rora and Rydan's secrets as well as how the
resolution to their story came about. My only problem with
the stories of The Sons of Destiny is that I'm compelled to
read them much too quickly as I am impatient to see how
each story turns out. I as always eagerly await the next
stories in the series.
