Regan Roslund wakes up to one of the worst days in
her life. All her money is gone. Her trusted financial
manager has drained her dry. With no way to pay her bills
or support the life she's become accustomed to, Regan
resigns herself to running a BDSM shop left to her by her
late Aunt.
Shadow Sorenson is a new king over a troubled world
of vampires. With a rebel uprising at hand, Shadow
reluctantly agrees with his brothers he is in need of a
wife. If he joins with a human female, his powers would be
elevated to a state that no rebel would be able to touch
him. His throne would be secured and his clan protected.
Now, he just has to convince his Chosen one that she wants
to be Queen.
With a mage spell in hand, Shadow finds his Chosen
working in a rundown BDSM shop. She's everything and more
than he expected: A feisty spitfire of a woman, a perfect
vampire queen.
When Regan wakes the next evening and finds herself
married to a gorgeous, but arrogant, control freak, she
wants out. She's been on her own for years and there is no
way some guy whose kidnapped her, bit her, and forced her
into an unwanted marriage is going to keep her. Her mind
just has to keep telling her heart that, because every time
he touches her, he seems to know her darkest fantasies and
her needs better than herself.
Shadow's enemies learn he has a queen, and they
want her dead. He learns that if his wife dies his powers
would be nullified, and the kingdom would be at the hands
of his enemy. Somehow he must convince Regan that being
his Queen and he her Master, in and out of bed, is what she
really wants. If he can keep her alive long enough?
DARK MASTER is book one in Tawny Taylor's new
Master of Desire series. Ms. Taylor has done a great job
introducing us to her new world of BDSM Vampires. I do
love an Alpha Vampire, and they don't get anymore Alpha or
dominant than Shadow. While the sexual interactions
between the hero and heroine are provocative, I was
somewhat put off by the hero's unexpected interactions with
others in the book as a mode to force his heroine's
obedience. I enjoy reading ménage relationships in erotic
romance, but his interactions were used as a way to punish
his heroine who he was supposed to be falling in love
with. The book is smoking hot, but unfortunately, those
scenes left me feeling unsettled.
Completely broke, Regan Roslund is stuck selling bondage
gear to a kinky clientele in order to pay her bills. She has
no interest in her salacious merchandise until she feels a
leather choker tight against her neck--and gets a glimpse of
the muscular, model-gorgeous man who holds her captive.
Suddenly, temptation ignites...
THE MOST INTENSE
PLEASURE...
Newly crowned king of the undead, Shadow
Sorenson knows he can protect himself by taking a wife. He
hopes Regan, with her new-found curiosity, will be unable to
resist obeying even his most deviant demand. But Shadow
would prefer she surrender willingly. For thirty nights,
he'll show Regan what it's like to lose control as he
explores every inch of her naked flesh, leaving her hungry
for release--and moaning in anticipation of an ecstasy she
never knew existed...
Warning! This is a REALLY HOT book
