The Wind Herald also known as Boyden yearns for a simple
life. He is a warrior of the Tuatha De Danna and part
fey, who is afraid that he is slowly going mad. He has
nightmares that plague him of a past life. Ships have come
from another land, bent on war and destruction. It is up to
Boyden to help protect his people and decide if he should
embrace his destiny even though he may lose his sanity in
the long run.
The druidic leader, Amergin has come to invade with the help
of Princess Scota, a young warrior princess. She is his
emissary and communicates with his army, which includes the
amoral Captain Rigoberto. Rigoberto is obsessed with having
Scota, even if it means taking her by force. But Scota is a
true warrior, much like his men and won't be taken easily.
Boyden is then captured and questioned by Scota, but he is
able to break free and takes her as a hostage. As they hide
from the captain and his men, Scota learns about the land of
the fey and of Boyden himself. They become lovers even
though they are on the run and their lives are in danger.
Boyden now wants Scota for his mate and when she ends up
pregnant, he will do whatever he can to keep her. But the
High King of the Faeries refuses Scota and won't allow
Boyden to claim her. Boyden must embrace his power of the
wind and claim himself as its king before Scota and the babe
in her womb will be lost to him forever.
The fantasy world of R. Garland Grey is a must read! This
adventure tale with a lovely romance between Boyden and
Scota is fantastic! Your eyes will be glued to the pages
until the very last chapter. Scota is a wonderful heroine
who is strong, fights like a man and loves deeply. Boyden is
also amazing but his destiny is so heavy that it eats him
alive. Only the love of Scota changes him and as they embark
on a treacherous journey, in which the reader has no idea
how their story will end. Their affair is hot and passionate
and their love for each other comes quickly. WHITE FELLS is
a welcome read and a true feat of storytelling that combines
so many genres into one.
The star-crossed lovers in this absorbing fantasy novel are
two warriors from opposite worlds. Princess Scota is an
earthly princess who does not believe in the fairy world
until she meets a defiant captive named Boyden, who is
revealed to be a legendary fey fighter trying to stop
earthly incursions into his realm. As Scota and Boyden face
off, battling across the wind-scored hills and misty
woodlands that border the fairy realm, their distrust erupts
into a hot and eternal passion. Though they fear their love
has come too late to stop the killing, they declare a truce
between their two armies.
