Keelan left the 1600s behind, appearing in the 1800s
determined to avenge his family's name and retrieve what
was stolen. He devises a scheme that will get him close to
the heirs of the man who destroyed his family and it is all
too successful. Once there, he plays his part but is
captivated by the innocent beauty and gentleness of
Charity, a maid in the household. She nurses him back to
health and her wide-eyed innocence is almost too much to
believe.
What Keelan will come to learn is that he is not the only
one with secrets. The household he's invaded is not what it
seems, and neither is Charity. As events unfold, Ms.
Greiman's creativity will intrigue readers. BEWITCHING THE
HIGHLANDER is difficult to put down primarily because you
must find out what's going to happen next. This is a
relatively heavy book as romances go -- some torture, a lot
of heart-wrenching lives -- but well worth your time. The
paranormal elements in this time-travel are unique -- a very
different concept. You'll enjoy it.
Keelan has awakened from a deep slumber, in another time,
in another place, and still haunted by demons of his past.
Determined to recover the Treasure that caused his family's
downfall, he arrives at the sweeping Scottish
countryside . . . and discovers the magic of a gentle,
healing touch from a lass who stokes passion's fire in this
Highlander's breast.
The mysterious appearance of the Scottish warrior nearly
causes Charity to abandon her plans, but she'd been playing
the part of a dutiful maid for too long to let someone else
walk away with the prize — even if Keelan is as great a
temptation as the Treasure. Yet when they are forced on the
run, Charity discovers that the Highlander may be too
irresistible, and to deny him would be impossible . . . for
love's glorious promise awaits her in his powerful embrace
and sensuous kiss.
