When Vatican witch hunters slaughtered her entire coven,
Garnet Lacey, in a fit of rage, exacted revenge by calling
down the Goddess Lilith and used her to kill them all.
Now Garnet wants to move on with her life, get away from
the Vatican and forget she knows any magic. Problem is
quitting is easier said than done. The Goddess Lilith
never really left Garnet's body once she did her job and
Garnet just met the sexiest man she's ever seen in her
life. It just so happens, he doesn't have an aura.
A missing aura can only mean one thing; vampire. But
Garnet still lets Sebastian Von Traum suck her into his
world and all the trouble that comes with it. The trouble
starting with the return of the Vatican hunters who are
after Sebastian in order to kill him so they could steal
his alchemy formula; a formula that can turn people into
vampires. If that weren't trouble enough, Garnet's
vampire ex-boyfriend has crawled into town looking for
some action, any action, and she also discovered
Sebastian's dead wife isn't so much dead in her grave as
she is in limbo between dead and alive. With all this
going on and no end in site, what's a Goddess possessed
witch to do?
In a genre overflowing with books about witches and
vampires, Tate Hallaway has managed to write a story that
stands out from the rest. TALL, DARK & DEAD has feisty,
flawed characters and many surprises, such as the Vatican
being the villains of the story instead of the good guys.
The fast paced action will keep you engrossed in the story
and the romance will have you sighing over the main
characters. With so many loose ends hanging, the sequel,
DEAD SEXY, can't come fast enough for me.
A delightful new comedy about witches, vampires, and the
search for the perfect man.
Recovering witch Garnet Lacey manages Wisconsin's premier
occult bookstore. And a fringe benefit of the job is getting
customers like Sebastian Von Traum-piercing brown eyes, a
sexy accent, and a killer body. The only thing missing is an
aura. Which means he's dead. And that means trouble.
So what's a girl to do if she's hot for a dead man walking?
Run like hell-and take full advantage of the nights.
