Thriller | Suspense

Mind powers are to be kept unused and secret. At least that's what Clay Thomas believes until a determined rival from his past enters his life, seeking revenge. When Clay discovers that his athletic son has his own mind powers, they set out together to undo consequences from Clay's past and to put an end to Jack Harding's plans. As his enemy closes in and Clay and Tanner's powers grow, Clay is forced to choose between protecting his secrets and protecting those he loves most. Loving the Rain, the first stand–alone novel in the Clay and Tanner Thomas series, is a suspenseful story about an exceptional man forced to face the choices of his past and the extraordinary love and forgiveness that finally offer him peace from a lifetime of secrecy.

Re: Loving the Rain

'Got a chuckle out of your double negatives. for that is a mistake made so often. I cringe each time I hear a football coach on TV say, "My team played good today."

Your books sound fun. I hadn't thought of cameos in writing before.

Great post, Jeff. Your tidbit about Alfred Hitchcock brought back memories as my mother told me the same thing! I enjoyed the excerpts. I love that authors include things that have meaning to them. It really serves to make for richer characterization.

I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed reading your excerpts. You have an excerptional talent to be able to take the written word, and have fun with it, while being able to write a story and keep the reader interested all the while. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for your books, so I can read the rest of the stories!! Best of luck to you in the future!!

Thank you for all of the comments. I do have fun with my writing...it shouldn't always be hard work, should it? I also have a time traveler book out called Jumper that has lots of action and adventure, and some fun dialogue as well. Thank you again. Jeff
