Audrey Godwin
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Audrey Godwin has
excelled in almost everything she has done. She has always
been highly ambitious, but due to a family tragedy she had
to leave college after only one year. She became a
successful singer in the inspirational field, went on to
part-time modeling, then began freelancing for an
independent newspaper before deciding to try her hand at
novels. To date she is an author and poet, having written
eight novels and several poems.
She is a member of Romance Writer's of America, a graduate
of Writer's Digest Writing School, and loves to read
romance novels. She likes to travel, dance, and listen to
Jazz, Dixie Land, and Ragtime, and of course, Country. She
sings for enjoyment but doesn't pursue the profession as
she used to.
Today she works for the Federal Government in the Pentagon,
serving as a scribe in meetings with Pentagon Brass. Along
with everything that has happened in her life, she was in
the Pentagon on September 11th, barely escaping with her
life. She now resides in Arlington, Virginia. She has a
sister, three children, and lots of aunts, uncles, and
cousins, but they all reside in Texas.
Being a fan of the Gothic, she tries to bring that ambience
into the 21st Century. As a result, her books are dark,
mysterious, and atmospheric, yet have all the flash and
excitement of mainstream. Her writing has been described
as "Danielle Steele... with a twist." She experiments, colors
outside the lines, giving her readers everything she has.
Passion, excitement, romance, emotion, and tears. Her
novels may take twists and turns into the dark unknown, but
the endings will always be happy... like hers.
