It was such a bittersweet moment when I finished Midnight Target! Once the book was completed, edited, finalized, and ready to send off into the world, I admit I got a little teary-eyed.
The Killer Instincts series began five years ago with the story of Kane and Abby, and an introduction to Morganâ€™s mercenaries (and, of course, Noelleâ€™s deadly chameleons). Since then, nearly every major character has gotten his or her own book, and itâ€™s been so much fun for me to watch these characters grow and find happiness. Iâ€™ve rallied with them on missions, mourned their losses, yelled at their stupidities, and I hate the idea of saying goodbye to them!
This last book will not only explore a pair of relationships that fans have been eagerly waiting for, but it will also be a good farewell to our heroes. Yes, there are more stories left to be written, and maybe one day Iâ€™ll return to the characters who were left unexplored, but for now, Iâ€™m saying goodbye to this series that has brought me hours and hours of joy.
So I want to thank you, dear reader, for following my mercenaries, assassins, heroes and heroines, on their journeys!
