Romance Time Travel
Tisbury, Massachusetts, Martha's Vineyard. "It's just a dream," Melissa Smith whispers as she stares
into the intense eyes of a man dressed in Colonial clothes,
as though he'd stepped out of an American Revolution movie
set. A school chaperone with Holmes Hole Elementary, she'd
boarded the old schooner Shenandoah for a weeklong
educational sail. But they are not visiting Plimoth
Plantation, the Boston Tea Party Museum, or the Concord
Bridge reenactment. They are sailing the waters around the
island of Martha's Vineyard. Yet, when she awakes in Cabin
8, the captain claims to be Isaiah Reed, who sailed the
original Shenandoah in the eighteenth century. Melissa knows he cannot possibly be real. And
traveling back in time is impossible. But days pass, and
she's still in 1770. What if Isaiah, who is simply too handsome to be
real, is real? What if the fire he ignites in her from
barely a touch isn't in her imagination? Can a dream last
for weeks on end? If so, how will she find her way home . .
. to the twenty-first century? And can she bear to leave the
one man who has captured her heart, when everything in her
longs to stay?

Re: Shenandoah Dreams
Oh wow, this sounds really interesting... I enjoy time travel books... I would want to run home, but if I could not... not sure what I would do... thanks for sharing! (Colleen Conklin 9:30pm July 3, 2014)
I think I'd want to run home. Once I got over that (assuming I couldn't run home), I'd explore and try to figure out how to get home. (Janie McGaugh 11:50pm July 3, 2014)
I would go exploring. And I very much enjoy time travel books. (Sue Ahn 5:23am July 4, 2014)
If I woke in a strange place, it would depend on the place, I suppose. If it was really interesting, I would probably check it out a bit, to see where I was. If it was a scary place, I would try to get out of there as fast as I could!! That would be my shortest explanation!! Your book sounds like a real page-turner, and the perfect Summer read!! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy, so I can find out how the story unfolds!! I feel the way you do as far as being careful as to what I watch before I go to bed, but I carry it a bit further. I also watch what I eat before I go to bed, to make sure I don't have any nightmares!! Certain heavy foods will bring on weird dreams!! I enjoyed your posting immensely, and love the cover to your book, too!! Congratulations!! (Peggy Roberson 8:32am July 4, 2014)
I'd go exploring so I could learn more about the place. (Kv H 9:20am July 4, 2014)
Ugh! What a hard question! I suppose it depends where and when I woke up and if I felt threatened or excited. (You know how sometimes one doesn't know where either mood comes from out of the blue.) When I hear about time travel romances I'm half and half about it. The way you describe the story maybe being a dream, it makes it more interesting to me. TY for the chance to win. (Sally Hannoush 11:18am July 4, 2014)
Run home! I get my adventure from my safe home through my books lol (Trasina McGahey 12:01pm July 4, 2014)
Exploring for sure! (Elaine Seymour 12:42pm July 4, 2014)
I would go exploring. I wouldn't know which way is home unless I have done some exploring. (Kai Wong 3:47pm July 4, 2014)
Peggy - I watch what I eat too before bed. Sugar is not good for me after dinner. My brain works overtime, and makes blissful sleep difficult. Glad you enjoyed the post! (Lisa Belcastro 3:57pm July 4, 2014)
I love the different reasons for everyone's decisions to either run home or explore. I would tend to explore, but I'd want to be certain I could get back home, or at least back to the portal/machine that could take me home. Travel is wonderful, but there is no place like home. :-) (Lisa Belcastro 3:59pm July 4, 2014)
I would definitely want to go exploring! (Mary Smith 4:50pm July 4, 2014)
I would go exploring. I'd want to know where I was and how I got there. My life isn't that exciting just everyday stuff. Probably in my version I wouldn't have the great looking guy--so I'll have to read your version. Sounds like a great book. (Sharon Extine 6:15pm July 4, 2014)
i would go out exploring if at all possible. thanks sounds like a great book (Debbi Shaw 7:59pm July 4, 2014)
My first instinct would be to run home, but if things appeared safe I might end up exploring. Simply depends on where I found myself when I woke. (G. Bisbjerg 8:23pm July 4, 2014)
Hmmm...it would depend on where I was and what was at home for me. If I were single and childless, I'd probably stay for a while. But if I had kids and a husband, then send me home ASAP! (Marcia Berbeza 9:33pm July 4, 2014)
I think that would depend on the place...or the time. If I woke up in the past I would definitely explore. There is so much I would love to see about the history I have learned that exploring it and living it first hand would be quite the adventure. Now, if I woke up in the future I might want to run screaming for the hills. The future is an unknown and I don't deal well with unknowns. (control freak, much?) (Debbie Kelly 9:06am July 5, 2014)
Exploring... definitely. I am a explorer at heart. but if i woke up i might just stay in bed for a while and go back to sleep before i started exploring. (Hannah Brown 10:14am July 5, 2014)
Exploring would be wonderful. I would enjoy this change of place and pace. Great book. (Sharon Berger 11:02am July 5, 2014)
That would a frightening experience, so I imagine I would run home. (Anna Speed 12:33pm July 5, 2014)
I would go exploring. Its a dream right? (Denise Austin 1:38pm July 5, 2014)
I'd have to explore - I'm a bit nosy! (Diane Sallans 1:41pm July 5, 2014)
I would go exploring with the hope that there was something amazing about to happen... (Darci Paice 2:37pm July 5, 2014)
It really all depends on the place. If it was non-threatening then I would probably explore and see what I could find. On the other hand if it was a dark and dangerous place I would look for a safe hiding place or a way home. (Denise Boyd 3:08pm July 5, 2014)
I always have the same dream...that I am stuck out in the 'burbs and am trying to get home BUT if I were in an exotic locale, I would probably want to stay and explore. (Susan Coster 3:58pm July 5, 2014)
I would definitely go exploring! Sounds like good fun. (Vennie Martinisi 5:05pm July 5, 2014)
I'd probably want to run home. (Carol Woodruff 7:44pm July 5, 2014)
LOL So many variables. But I would be scared of missing home first. (Lisa Hutson 8:52pm July 5, 2014)
I would want to check it out first , then run home to tell someone. (Deb Pelletier 9:31pm July 5, 2014)
Definitely explore! (Michelle Schafer 11:53pm July 5, 2014)
I think my first instinct would be to run home but to do that I would need to explore to figure out where I was. (Maureen Emmons 6:00am July 6, 2014)
Ik vind deze roman zeer. Het zit vol met passie en droom. Ik kon niet niets als het hele tijd te vinden, maar toen mijn vriend schreef me deze link via whatsapp het me gered! Ik ben erg blij met deze deal! (Erinn Klis 10:52am July 7, 2014)
What a fascinating time-travel story! Thanks for sharing. (Bonnie H 9:38pm July 28, 2014)
