The beautiful and pampered Lady Jane Lennox was willing to abandon the wealth and luxury of her English aristocracy for peril and poverty . . . all to find the man whose eyes had entranced her, whose smile had enslaved her since childhood, Terence MacKenzie . . . even if this meant crossing an ocean to the primeval America colonies and indenturing herself to Ethan Gordon to work on his Virginia indigo plantation.
What she didnβt count on was being caught up in the revolutionistsβ war against the Mother Country . . . nor being caught up in her masterβs dangerous passion.
Author Note
I had attended a RWA conference in Washington D.C. and
hauled four of my five sons with me. While there, I took them on
several side trips, one to Williamsburg. Seeing that historical town
took me back (so strongly, as if in a lucid dream) to the the American
Revolution, and I knew I had to write a story set there.
