WRECKED is a book that will have you feeling all sorts of
emotions. One minute you will laugh, the next you will
cry, and then you will feel the guilt that Aden and
Sawyer have about their past. J.B. Salsbury writes in
such a way that you will feel as if your emotions are not
your own
because you become so close to Aden and Sawyer. I even
found myself so caught up that I had to take a few deep
breaths to calm down before reading more.
WRECKED will without a doubt pull at your heartstrings with
Sawyer's
sister having a brain tumor, Aden suffering from PTSD,
and Sawyer suffering from Agoraphobia. Aden has seen many
things while in the Army. He blames himself for not
listening to his team and before they all were killed in
an ambush. This guilt stays with him making him have
night terrors. After Aden left with an honorable
discharge, he feels best living on his own in his uncle's
boat. Nothing made sense to Aden until the day he met
Sawyer. At first, he thinks Sawyer is her sister Celia
and she has come back to pack all her things to move back
home. Once they met it is obvious that there is a very
strong attraction between them.
The setting is perfect
for this amazing love story and the list of side
characters help to add that something extra. While the
main characters are well researched all with outstanding
backstories that mesh together to create a must read
romance novel.
When you can't trust yourself, how can you ask
anyone else to?
It's been months since Aden Colt left the Army, and
still the memories haunt him. When he moved into a tiny boat
off the California coast, he thought he'd found the perfect
place to escape life. Then Sawyer shows up and turns his
simple life upside down. Beautiful and sophisticated, she
seems out of place in this laid-back beach town. Something
is pushing her to experience everything she can-including
Aden. But as much as he wants her, starting a relationship
with Sawyer puts them both at risk. For Aden, the past
doesn't stay there; it shows up unexpectedly,
uncontrollably, and doesn't care whose life it wrecks.
