This is Book 3 in the S.I.N
Series. Since this series is not a
stand alone, it is recommended to read the series in order
starting with DIRTIEST
SECRET. SWEETEST TABOO picks up after Book #2 HOTTEST
MESS leaves off.
The relationship between adoptive brother and sister Jane
and Dallas isn't going so well. After being disinherited by
their father and their relationship being tabloid news, the
pair are living in a small one bedroom apartment that Dallas
had recently purchased. When Jane finds out that Dallas
withheld Colin's involvement in both their kidnappings from
her, they argue and Jane runs off. As soon as Jane leaves,
Dallas receives a photo from Jane and know that the Woman
has taken her....again. The same Woman that had taken part
in their abduction when they were teenagers. The race to
find out who the Woman is, is kicked into overdrive, and
finding Jane becomes a top priority.
When Jane turns up, the pair realize that the Woman is
toying with them. Letting them know that she is here and
always watching. As news of their relationship hit the
tabloids, Jane and Dallas are tested to their limits. Soon
the pair can't be anywhere that the Woman doesn't show the
pair that she is always there and watching. Each time, the
Woman is one step ahead of them. Until Dallas figures out
exactly who she is, and how close she has been to them their
entire life. Jane and Dallas decided to get their parents
involved. However neither realized that decision would now
put not only Jane in harms way, but their mother too. After
the attack on their mother, and another kidnapping of Jane,
the entire Deliverance team is working on finding out where
Jane has been taken, since the Woman now plays to kill her.
In the last installment of the series, we see a stronger
side of Jane than before. Dallas has overcome some of his
own demons and his main objective for his own closure is to
find the two people who where involved in his and Jane's
kidnapping....the Jailer and the Woman. We also see how both
Jane and Dallas handle the popularity of their relationship
and more importantly, where their relationship is headed.
SWEETEST TABOO is the conclusion of J Kenner's SIN series
involving adoptive siblings Jane and Dallas. I was
skeptical about this series when I started, the topic is one
that I tend to avoid, it was so well done and if the
couple's love for each other is so tender and warm. The sex
scenes are everything you've come to expect from J. Kenner-
plentiful and erotic. The writing is fluid and well paced
and these characters both really go through some nice
personal growth that allows the reader to really root for
them. There is a great cast of secondary characters that
supports them nicely. I fell in love with J. Kenner's writing
style when I stumbled across the Stark
International Series.
She will always be one of my newly added favorite authors!
In this irresistible Stark International Novel, J. Kenner
ups the ante on Dirtiest Secret and Hottest
Mess, proving once again with the S.I.N. series that she
“may very well have cornered the market on sinfully
attractive, dominant antiheroes and the women who swoon for
them” (RT Book Reviews).
All eyes are on us . . . and there’s nowhere to run.
Everyone has their own ideas about Dallas Sykes: He’s a
reckless billionaire, a devilish playboy, a man who gets
whatever he wants the minute he wants it. But I know the
real Dallas behind the money, bravado, and power—and he’s
completely, blissfully mine.
We carefully guarded our secrets, and in each other’s arms
we sought refuge from our dark past. Our pain became our
pleasure, our control within the chaos. But we could only
hide from the truth for so long.
Now we’ve let loose our inhibitions and are ready to face
the future. And no matter what people think or say, coming
clean is its own sweet reward.
