Romance | Novella / Short Story

Cora Brennan cannot wait to have a fun weekend at Kiss and Tell Mountain Resort with her friends. Heaven knows she needs it after wasting a year of her life on her ex, Trent, who made cheating an Olympic sport. Relaxation and a good chat with her best friends over the Christmas weekend will do her good, and as soon as she sets eyes on the beautiful scenery and cabins again, Cora already feels better. Even if it does bring back memories of her first visit here, almost seven years ago, and the unbelievable weekend she had spent with Alec. Knowing there would not be a future for them, Cora had snuck away back then, but that never stopped her from thinking of him or following his media transition into a serious playboy.

But when Cora's friends cannot make it because of a storm, and a recurring fear overwhelms Cora, she is forced to seek help from her neighbour - the man she ran away from all those years ago.

A lot had changed over the years for Alec. After his father died, Alec was thrust into the media limelight when he became responsible for the family's multi-million dollar ad company. While business always comes first, Alec has drifted from one affair to another, always looking for that missing spark. The spark that only occurred once with Cora Brennan. And that is why every Christmas he returns to this cabin, in the hopes that one year she would find her way back to him. Except this year, Bernadette Winson, a business colleague, was due to arrive after she invited herself, in the hopes of something a little more personal happening. But when Alec comes face to face with Cora, the woman who has haunted him for so long, he is determined to win her for good this time. With mishaps, misunderstandings and a lot of Christmas magic, will Cora and Alec finally find the missing pieces of their lives together?

THE BAD BOY MEETS HIS MATCH by Kristin Miller is a wonderfully romantic Christmas tale with enough spice to warm those cold, winter nights. Cora and Alec are engaging characters that made me smile, and I really wanted them to recognise what they could have together! THE BAD BOY MEETS HIS MATCH by Kristin Miller is the perfect read for romance fans this holiday season.
