Kele is the daughter of her tribes Alpha. They are
considered wild wolves because they live and hunt as
wolves
are meant to.
In their world there are 'tamed' wolves that live in the
cities with the vampires, but they chose to live free.
As Kele is facing the dilemma of being mated to a man she
does not know, her true love rushes to fight for her. As
Peder runs to claims Kele for himself, Slavers grab him
and
place him in a cage. Little does Kele know the same
slavers
are on their way to her mating ceremony.
Kele, and the man she was supposed to mate are taken and
placed with Peder. Upon finding out about this crime the
vampire overlord and Ahote a member of Kele's pack go in
search of the kidnapped people.
The trials and tribulations of the pack members taken as
slaves are sad to read, but watching the growth of the
characters as they fight to survive is fascinating.
Annie Nicholas has created a world where no humans exist
and vampires act as the Europeans of the old did when they
came over to the Americas. Conquering and enslaving wolves
they could not convert to their "civilized' ways.
SCENT OF VALOR is book two in the Chronicles of
Eorthe
series by Annie Nicholas. This is a good story and holds
its own as a standalone. I just joined the series, but see
a great future for these characters. Benic the vampire
Lord
has a few good stories in him. Not to mention all the
other
characters have so much more to tell us. Get started on
this series as soon as you can you won't want to miss
reading what Annie Nicholas has to tell us in SCENT OF
VALOR and the remainder of the Chronicles of Eorthe
series.
SUMMARY
Courage blooms in the meekest of hearts. Chronicles of Eorthe, Book 2 After spending twenty years trapped in her civil body,
Kele
can finally shift into feral form. By tooth and claw,
she’s
determined to climb the Payami pack hierarchy. Her parents plan to mate her with a hunter from a rival
pack, but her heart’s already been stolen by the most
unsuitable wolf possible—Peder, an omega male. She’d
gladly
give him her body except he’s disappeared from her life.
Maybe into the thieving arms of another female. Peder has spent every moment of their forced separation
training to be a hunter. When he hears of her arranged
marriage, he fears he’s waited too long to trespass back
onto Payami lands to fight for her hand—but he damned well
isn’t giving up. On his journey to confront Kele, Peder is attacked and
wakes
in a cage, helpless as a band of vampires attack Kele’s
mating party. Separated by social standing, thrown
together
by tragedy, they must work together to survive. And find
out
if their attraction is merely puppy love, or a bond that’s
stronger than time. Warning: This book contains an omega male who’s done
submitting and a hunter female who isn’t used to needing
anyone to come to her rescue. Violence ensues, not for the
faint of heart.
