Suspense

Jack Bertolino is a retired NYPD cop living in LA trying to start a new career as a private investigator. BLOND CARGO starts out with him working his current case which has a few exciting glitches but overall goes well and he is off to a great start.

As he is basking in the results of his victory, mob boss and mad man Vincent Cardona comes to him with a request. Only it's not a request, Jack owes Vincent and knew one day he would come asking for a favor and Jack would have no choice.

Vincent's daughter is missing and he wants Jack to find her. Jack takes the case and along with his associates Mateo, Cruz and Nick, a police officer, they discover a world where drugs, guns and women are sold like an everyday commodity.

As time runs out Jacks life and the lives of everyone near him are placed in danger. He must find Angelica before she is sold into a harem in the Middle East and never seen again.

BLOND CARGO has great action from page one. A definite page turner that keeps you glued as you follow the ins and out of the investigation to catch the culprits. Jack, Cruz, Mateo and Nick are a group of talented and driven men that work together like a well oiled machine. I even liked the mobster Vincent; his love for his daughter was sincere even when he was cutting off peoples fingers.

BLOND CARGO is the second Jack Bertolino book by John Lansing and he has created such a compelling character and group of people that I see lots of great stories in the future. Jack isn't afraid to get his hand dirty and kick some butt to accomplish his goals and he has a good heart and compassionate side, when he's not shooting at people. John Lansing's BLOND CARGO reminds you why you love to read.

SUMMARY

Jack Bertolino’s son, Chris, was the victim of a brutal murder attempt and Vincent Cardona, a mafia boss, provided information that helped Jack take down the perpetrator of the crime. Jack accepted the favor knowing there’d be blow back. In Blond Cargo the mobster’s daughter has gone missing and Cardona turned in his chit.

Jack discovers that the young, blond, mafia princess has been kidnapped and imprisoned while rich, politically connected men negotiate her value as a sex slave.

A sizzling whodunit for fans of James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell, Blond Cargo taps into the real-life crime world to deliver a thrilling, action-packed story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the explosive, unprecedented finale.
